Principal’S message

Welcome to P.S. 235! Whether you are a returning family or exploring our school for the first time, I am proud to welcome you to our vibrant community where every child is safe, known, and challenged to achieve their full potential. Across both our Main Building and Early Childhood Center, our mission is built on high expectations, authentic collaboration, and a deep commitment to equity. We strive to cultivate a joyful, supportive environment where students feel excited to come to school each day, staff work alongside one another with trust and shared purpose, and every family feels a genuine sense of belonging.

Our instructional approach pairs strong foundational skills in literacy and mathematics with rich opportunities that stretch and elevate every student. Through data informed instruction and responsive support systems, we provide targeted intervention for students who need extra help while actively challenging those ready for advanced and accelerated learning. Equally important, we nurture the whole child through dynamic arts and enrichment programs, including our partnerships with the National Dance Institute, Theater for a New Audience, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Reading Partners, athletics, and student leadership, instilling the confidence, creativity, and curiosity our students need to succeed.

Foundational to all student achievement is a safe, inclusive culture rooted in social and emotional learning, restorative practices, and mutual respect. We know that children thrive when families and educators work hand in hand, which is why we prioritize open communication, active collaboration through our PTA and School Leadership Team, and strong community partnerships. I am honored to lead P.S. 235 and look forward to working together to ensure our school remains a place where students excel, leaders grow, and every family feels proud to belong.
